Following back-to-back wins over D.C. United and the San Jose Earthquakes, the Seattle Sounders predictably climbed in the Week 20 MLS Power Rankings.
The Sounders are No. 8 on MLSsoccer.com (No. 10 last week), No. 10 on SI.com (No. 15), and No. 11 on ESPN.com (No. 15).
"Deuce? J-Mo? Who needs ‘em when you’ve got Cristian Roldan?," wrote MLSsoccer.com. "OK, yeah, the Sounders will definitely want their US internationals back, but it will be interesting how Brian Schmetzer makes all the pieces – and a potential new one – fit when everyone’s back."
The Sounders travel to the StubHub Center to take on the LA Galaxy this Saturday (7:00 p.m. PT; ESPN, KIRO 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360AM) seeking to extend their unbeaten streak to six matches and finish the month of July undefeated.
