Following a 4-0 romp over Minnesota United on Saturday, the Seattle Sounders have climbed in Week 22’s MLS Power Rankings.
The Sounders are No. 6 on MLSSoccer.com (No. 8 last week) and No. 8 on ESPN.com (No. 9).
“Four wins in five, and three shutouts on the trot,” wrote MLSSoccer.com. “Seattle are officially surging.”
Clint Dempsey bagged a brace and added an assist as MLS named he and Nicolas Lodeiro to the Week 22 Team of the Week. Will Bruin and Jordan Morris notched their eighth and third goals of the season, respectively.
