The Uruguay national team has called in Seattle Sounders midfielder Nicolas Lodeiro for two upcoming CONMEBOL 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches.
La Celeste will host CONMEBOL leader Brazil on March 23 at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo before traveling to Lima on March 28 to take on Peru at the Estadio Nacional.
Lodeiro has made seven appearances with four starts during 2018 qualifying. His lone goal came on a beautiful diving header in a 3-0 win over Venezuela on Oct. 6.
Uruguay currently sit in second in the CONMEBOL table with 23 points through 12 matches, four points behind Brazil.
