U.S. Soccer selects Orlando City Stadium to host final home CONCACAF 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying match on Oct. 6 versus Panama

Orlando City Stadium in Orlando, Fla., will host the final home CONCACAF 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying match for the United States, U.S. Soccer announced on Monday.

The U.S. will welcome Panama to Orlando City SC’s home ground for Matchday 9 of the 10-match Hexagonal on Oct. 6. This is the U.S.’ first trip to Orlando since 1998 and only the second WCQ in the state of Florida since 1980.

The United States drew Panama 1-1 earlier in the Hex, with Clint Dempsey scoring for the Americans against his Seattle Sounders teammate Roman Torres.

The U.S. sit in fourth place with four points from four matches. They will host Trinidad and Tobago at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo., on June 8 in Matchday 5 before traveling to Mexico City to take on Mexico at Estadio Azteca on June 11.
