Seattle Sounders VP of Soccer & Sporting Director Chris Henderson spends a lot of time on the road scouting players and negotiating contracts. Ridge Mahoney of SoccerAmerica recently conducted a Q&A with the former U.S. international covering a wide array of topics including his upcoming trip to Central America, traveling the world to scout talent and the integration of data and technology into the player scouting process.
"I love my job. I love scouting players," Henderson says in the piece. "I feel that’s my biggest strength as a sporting director is being able to identify players and see how they would translate into MLS. Forecasting is something I enjoy doing."
