WATCH: Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris befriends young diabetic at U.S. national team camp

While with the United States national team in Nashville, Tenn., last week, Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris made a new friend.

Morris is Type-1 Diabetic and meets up with a local kid in Seattle after each home match as part of his Type-1 Diabetes Playmakers initiative. While in Nashville, Morris befriended nine-year-old and Type-1 Diabetic Aiden and his family. Aiden has been T1-D since age three.

The two exchanged jerseys and their favorite fruit snacks to help regulate their blood sugar before matches. Aiden also met former U.S. national team members Landon Donovan and Stuart Holden.

Morris is an active supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund and has a T1-D tattoo on his inner forearm. He and the U.S. will take on Martinique in the second match of the 2017 Gold Cup group stage on Wednesday (6 p.m. PT; FOX, Univision, UDN).
