PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2024 (Seattle): Thomas saw his first minutes with Seattle in 2024, making 15 appearances (13 starts) in all competitions. He started all four of Sounders FC’s 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches and made the game-winning penalty kick against Louisville City FC in the Round of 32 (May 8). He started Seattle’s first three matches of the MLS season with Stefan Frei out due to injury, allowing three goals. Thomas started four of Seattle’s five Leagues Cup 2024 matches, recording shutouts against Minnesota United (July 26) and Pumas UNAM (August 12).

2023 (Seattle): Thomas made 15 starts for Tacoma Defiance in 2023 before being loaned to New Mexico United of the USL Championship. The goalkeeper made nine starts with New Mexico, amassing 19 saves during his time there.

2022 (Seattle): Thomas did not appear in any matches for Sounders FC in 2022, but started 12 matches for Tacoma Defiance, recording 39 saves with a 1.08 goals against average before his season ended due to a lower back stress fracture.

COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

Thomas was a three-time All-Pac-12 First Team selection at Stanford after a youth career for English side Watford FC in the club’s academy system. Thomas won his third Pac-12 Championship with the Cardinal this spring, leading the conference with a 0.69 goals against average and recording four shutouts. The Moscow-born, Watford FC Academy product tallied 55 appearances over three seasons in Palo Alto, compiling a 34-10-11 record with 23 shutouts. Thomas has also spent time with the U.S. U-23 Men’s National Team.
