PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2022 (Seattle): Arreaga started 26 of 27 appearances for Seattle in the 2022 season, scoring his lone goal in game-winning fashion in the Rave Green’s 3-2 win over the LA Galaxy (March 12). He ranked first on the team with an 88.5% passing accuracy and second with 45 interceptions. The Ecuador international started all eight matches in Seattle’s title winning Concacaf Champions League run, earning Best XI honors. His play earned in a spot on the Ecuador National Team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup QatarTM.

2021 (Seattle): Arreaga enjoyed a breakout year with Seattle in 2021, starting in 25 of his 26 appearances for 2,165 minutes during the regular season. Playing in Seattle’s new three center back system, he finished the regular season with 32 tackles won and 37 interceptions. The Ecuadorian international scored his first two goals for the club in a 2-0 win over LAFC (May 16) and a 2-1 at Columbus (August 21). He was a key member of the team’s defensive unit that started the year on a 13-match unbeaten run and did not concede a goal from open play until the 11th game of the season.

2020 (Seattle): Arreaga made started 13 of 14 appearances during the shortened 2020 season, totaling 1,147 minutes. The Ecuadorian defender tallied a pair of assists on the campaign in a 2-1 loss to Chicago (July 14) at the MLS is Back Tournament and in the club’s 7-1 victory over San Jose (September 10). Arreaga finished the regular season with 13 tackles won and 26 interceptions. He appeared in two postseason matches as Sounders FC made a second straight MLS Cup appearance.

2016-2019 (Barcelona SC/Seattle): Arreaga played 6,787 minutes across four seasons for Ecuadorian power Barcelona SC, starting 78 of his 79 appearances. The defender tallied eight goals for the Guayaquil-based side, including three each in the 2017 and 2018 campaigns. Arreaga started all 10 of his appearances in 2019, registering 887 minutes played. After being signed as a Designated Player at the close of the Primary Transfer Window, Arreaga started 12 of his 14 appearances and recorded 1,119 minutes. He appeared in three playoff matches, including starting and playing the full 90 minutes in Seattle’s 3-1 victory at LAFC in the Western Conference Championship (October 29).

2014-2015 (Manta FC): Arreaga spent his first two professional seasons with Manta FC, scoring four goals with the club, all coming in his second season in 2015. Manta was relegated from the Copa Pilsener Serie A (the Ecuadorian first division) following the 2014 campaign, then finished fourth in Serie B in 2015.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
